Tonight was our second night of Water Rescue Operations Certification class. This 16 hour class is being presented by START Rescue Training Inc (www.startrescue.com). 17 Gladwyne firefighters are taking the class for either initial certification or as a refresher course. Last Wednesday night we spent 4 hours at the firehouse for the classroom portion of the class. Tonight we spent 4 hours in the Haverford School pool. The pool session is to test and prepare our firefighters for the upcoming 8 hour session that we will be spending in the river below the Flat Rock Dam. Once completed we will receive a certification from START Rescue and the PA Fish and Game Commission for Water Rescue Operations. We would like to THANK the HAVERFORD SCHOOL for allowing us to do our training in their beautiful facility!
