Today just after lunch time as the thermometers hit 90 degrees Gladwyne Firefighters were dispatched to the area of Youngsford Road and Conshohocken State Road for smoke in the area. Ladder 24 arrived to find a wood fence on the First Trust Bank property on fire. The fire was headed for two vehicles that were parked in the lot, but the fire was quickly extinguished. It appears that a burning cigarette discarded in the mulch started the fire. PLEASE be careful where you throw out your cigarettes!
