Today just before the weekly "100 year storm" Gladwyne Firefighters were dispatched to the 1600 block of Monk Road for an Investigation. Upon going en-route the dispatch center advised a large tree fell on a house and the homeowner was inside. Upon arrival of Ladder 24 they found a large tree branch that fell on the house causing structural damage to the house. The homeowner was inside but not injured. The utilities were not affected. The crew assisted the homeowner with some minor clean up and Lower Merion Township Codes officials were requested. Gladwyne volunteers cleared in under 30 mins.
