GFC Firefighters Respond to Assist Ardmore Fire Company at a Large Brush Fire

Just as all of our Gladwyne Firefighters and their families were assembling at the firehouse for our annual Firefighters Father's Day breakfast, the Merion Fire Company of Ardmore was dispatched to a brush fire along the railroad tracks behind the Pennmont Apartments on West Montgomery Ave. Upon arrival of Ardmore firefighters there was a large brush fire along the tracks for almost the entire block. Bryn Mawr Firefighters, Gladwyne Firefighters and Narberth Firefighters all responded to assist with extinguishing the fire.
A good job by all those involved prevented any of the fire from reaching any buildings for vehicles.
Upon returning to Gladwyne, we were finally able to have our Fathers Day Breakfast!
Happy Fathers Day!
