Just before 6pm tonight Bryn Mawr Fire Company was alerted to a house fire in the 600 block of Griscom Drive in Villanova. The call was upgraded adding Ardmore to the assignment. At the same time Swedeland Fire Company of Upper Merion was dispatched to the area of Matsonsford Road in Upper Merion for a house fire as well along with the Radnor Fire Company. Once on scene Chief 23 (Gallagher) confirmed a working fire and that it was only one fire. All responding units proceeded in to the scene to assist. The working fire upgrade then added Engine 24-1 with manpower, Air 24 for the Airbank and Rescue 21 as the RIT. All crews worked quickly and efficiently to extinguish the fire. Excellent Job by the first in crews!
