| Just before 4am, Gladwyne Firefighters were dispatched with Engine 24 to respond to Plymouth Township as a 2nd RIC (Firefighter Rescue Team) to assist at a large warehouse fire. Engine 24 responded and set up on the front of the building to protect the firefighters fighting the fire. Just after Engine 24 left the firehouse, Command requested additional resources and Ladder 24 was dispatched to assist at the scene.
Upon arrival of Ladder 24, the crew was sent to the rear of an adjacent building to try and access the rear of the fire building on the other side of a small tree line. Ladder 24 was able to get into position and set up an aerial master stream on the rear of the building.
Gladwyne Firefighters assisted at the scene until 8am, when we were relieved by fresh firefighters and apparatus from other parts of the County.
Great Teamwork was displayed this morning from all companies involved! |
