Gladwyne Firefighters have spent the last couple of weekends training for Ice Rescue emergencies. This training was held at the Philadelphia Country Club on the large pond near the 18th hole. We are very grateful to the Philadelphia Country Club for allowing us to hold this training on their property and even provided us with warm drinks and lunch.
Firefighters cut holes in the 6 inch ice and then trained on various rescue skills on the ice.
Thank you again to the Philadelphia Country Club who are big supporters of the Gladwyne Fire Company.
Thank you to Anthony Kopicki from Penn Wynne Fire Company who joined us in our training and shared these pictures with us.
