Gladwyne Firefighters spent Sunday night awake all night responding to multiple calls in the pouring rain. The first call came in just before 8pm for a gas leak inside a residence in the upper end of Gladwyne. The fire company cleared in less than 30 mins after confirming there was no problem in the house. The 2nd call was dispatched just before 2am for an assist to the King of Prussia Fire Company (Station 47) for assistance as the FAST Team (Safety Team of Firefighters in case a problem arises in the fire building). Ladder 24 responded and provided assistance for 90 mins, returning to the firehouse just before 4am. At 436 am we were dispatched to an accident with injuries call on the Expressway. And finally at 644am Gladwyne Firefighters along with Bryn Mawr Firefighters were dispatched to Waverly Heights for a building fire. Upon arrival firefighters found an alarm activated in an auxiliary pumping station with no fire or smoke. All companies returned quickly without affecting any business at the Retirement home.
Thank You to all of our Firefighters that spent all night awake helping others!
