Gladwyne Firefighters traveled to the Norristown State Hospital grounds to participate with the Norristown Fire Department with a Ladder Operations Class.
Ladder 24 is a unique piece of Fire Apparatus in that it is a Tractor Drawn Aerial truck or "tiller" which requires two drivers one in the front and one the back. Our ladder truck is very maneuverable and can fit in places that other ladder trucks cannot.
Norristown Fire Department requested we bring our truck to their training so that their members (and ours) could see and learn the differences between the various ladder trucks. Along with Gladwyne's tiller, King of Prussia Fire Company was there with their Tower Ladder and Norristown had both of their Ladder trucks there as well.
An excellent training opportunity for all of our members and we appreciate Norristown Fire Department including us in their training evolution.
