Amidst the freezing cold temperatures and snow packed streets, crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a reported bedroom fire on Youngsford Road in Gladwyne.
First arriving units went into service and quickly extinguished a small fire inside the home. The fire was put under control within minutes. Firefighters from Gladwyne were assisted by Ardmore Fire Company in ventilation and overhaul operations, both companies cleared the scene within an hour.
One firefighter from Ardmore was transported with an injury to Lankenau Hospital for treatment to a facial laceration and broken nose - we hope for a speedy recovery!
