| On behalf of the Officers and Members of the Gladwyne Fire Company, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thank you for your continued support of our services, we're so lucky to be apart of this community.
On Tuesday night our members traveled the streets of Gladwyne with one very jolly guest - Santa Claus! Joined by the community children, Santa and his firefighter friends passed out candy canes and fruit to all those awaiting Old Saint Nick in what has become a cherished holiday tradition.
It was espcially joyous for one our volunteers, and Santa Claus' twin for the night, Brian Brown and now fiancé Jessi Cook. After posing for photos with neighborhood children, Santa lowered onto one knee and proposed to Jessi, in a moment that will go down in Christmas Eve history much like Rudolf did. She said yes.
The moment proved the magic of Christmas, the power of love, and togetherness of a community. In a world that moves faster everyday, filled with confusion and complications, last nights events supplied us with a satisfying year end memory.
