Tonight Gladwyne Firefighters traveled to Harriton High School in Rosemont for a "walk through" of the building and property. Gladwyne is the assist company to Bryn Mawr Fire Company should there be a fire in the building. The new school has many new safety features that we discussed as a company.
The tour was led by Lower Merion Township Fire Marshall Jim McCoy along with several of Bryn Mawr's Firefighters.
One of the most rewarding parts of the evening was seeing a football in the trophy case with Brian McDermott's name on it highlighting his 1001 yard season in 2006! Brian used to be a Gladwyne Firefighter and his father Mike is still an active Gladwyne Firefighter.
