Today Gladwyne Volunteers were called upon by our brothers and sisters from Cheltenham Fire Company to cover their "village" while they attended a funeral for Past Fire Chief and Life Member Bernard Schuck who passed away last week. Gladwyne Firefighers traveled to Cheltenham early this morning and staffed the station so that our brothers and sisters of Cheltenham could pay their respects to the Schuck family without worrying about handling calls. While in the station Engine 24 handled 1 call in Elkins Parks fire district along with Ladder 3 (Elkins Park) and Engine 2 (Lamott).
Gladwyne Firefighters would like to send our condolences to the entire Cheltenham community who lost a hero in the community! Rest in PEACE Mr. Schuck......
