As our children were getting their Halloween Costumes on, Gladwyne Firefighters with Bryn Mawr Firefighters were dispatched to Pinewood Road for a Chimney Fire. Upon arrival Ladder 24 with Chief 24 found a large amount of smoke coming from the chimney with a large fire roaring in the firebox with active burning in the chimney itself. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and helped the homeowner with cleaning out the fireplace. Crews remained on scene for just over an hour.
