Career Plans |
I plan to finish my current high school career, in the future I hope to set more solid life goals. Currently I would like to enroll in the Naval Academy, serve, and move into a medical career. |
|
Why did you join the fire department? |
My family has a long background in the fire service and other emergency services, following my Great Grand father, Grandfather, Aunts and Uncles, Mom and Dad, it was only natural for me to join my fellow brothers and sisters in the company. |
|
What are your hobbies and/or interests outside of the fire department? |
Out side of school I actively row for Harriton High and other clubs, being a year round sport it takes a large chunk of my free time. While not rowing, I am working to complete my Eagle Scout. The Eagle Scout rank, achieved through the Boy Scouts, is not just a badge; but a set of very important life skills and lessons that I will put forward in my career as a Fire Fighter and community member. If I am not involved with these two, I am spending time with my friends and family watching sports and having a good time. |
|
What do you like best about being part of the fire department? |
What I like most is the fact that I can make such an impact on our local community, not only bettering the lives of people, but the chance to save them. |
|
What is your most memorable incident? |
My most memorable incident is the Jet Ski rescue below the flat rock dam on June 8th, 2014. Upon arrival I quickly realized that our ability to work as a team was going to change the lives of the three people trapped. This was first call where life and death was on the line, I look forward to being able to experience and help at incidents to come. |
