Just after midnight on Wednesday May 13, Gladwyne Firefighters were dispatched to assist the Radnor Fire Company with a large mansion fire. Engine 24 was dispatched to provide the RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) duties at the fire and upon arrival command changed their assignment to fire suppression on the 2nd floor. Command assigned Chief 24 (Leis) as the Division 2 supervisor and assigned multiple companies to the interior of the house for an aggressive fire attack.

Once the fire was extinguished crews assisted with salvage and overhaul and ensuring the fire was completely extinguished. Gladwyne Firefighters returned to Gladwyne just after 0400 hours where the crew cleaned up the equipment and apparatus to ready it for the next response.

Thank you to Tappan Firephotos for the excellent on scene photographs of our crews working.
