| At 2040 hours (8:40 pm) Gladwyne Firefighters were dispatched to assist Station 55 (Conshohocken) with a house fire on East 8th Ave.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a twin house with fire showing in the rear in the middle of the two houses.
Quint 55 deployed hand lines to the rear and inside both residences to start extinguishing the fire.
Upon arrival of Ladder 24, they were assigned to the rear of the building in the alley. The ladder was positioned to access the roof with the main aerial ladder, but was ultimately not needed. The crew was assigned to the roof to assist in opening up where the fire was.
Gladwyne Firefighters were on scene for just about 90 minutes.
Thank you to Engine 21 Penn Wynne Fire Company - Station 21 for covering our station while we were assisting our neighbors in Conshohocken. While Engine 21 was in Gladwyne they handled a Fire Alarm on Glenmore Road along with Ladder 23 (Bryn Mawr Fire Company), which was determined to be a faulty alarm system.
