This morning Stations 22, 24, and 313 were dispatched to an accident with injuries on the Schuylkill Expressway Upon arrival Engine 24 found a small trash truck pinning a Tesla SUV against the Jersey barrier. The Tesla rode approximately 100 yards along the top of the Jersey barrier, compromising the battery. Crews stabilized the Tesla, accessed the first responder loop, and de-energized the vehicle. A heavy duty wrecker was able to further lift the Tesla from the barrier to avoid further puncturing the battery. Two patients were transported.
