On Thursday 11/16, Gladwyne Firefighters assisted Union Fire Association of Bala Cynwyd (Station 28) with a vehicle fire in an underground parking garage at the Kelly Apartments on Union Ave. Engine 24 responded with 6 firefighters and upon arrival were assigned to assist Engine 28’s crew stretching a hose into the underground parking garage and extinguishing the fire.

All 7 Lower Merion / Narberth Fire Companies responded and assisted at this labor intensive incident. We were also assisted by Manoa Fire Company (Haverford Township) as our Rapid Intervention Team, Narberth Ambulance, Lower Merion Police, P&J Auto Body and Jamisons Towing.

Stand by apparatus was used from Upper Merion Township (Swedesburg) and Whitemarsh Township (Spring Mill) to cover any additional calls in Lower Merion / Narberth.
