Gladwyne Fire Company assisted Ardmore Fire Company on a 2 alarm house fire in the Haverford section of the township. Multiple 911 callers reported a house on fire with explosions. Chief 25 arrived to a large 3 story mansion with heavy fire showing, requested dual supply lines. Engine 24 responded with 8 firefighters and laid a supply line to Engine 25 and stretched a second line. Ladder 24 laddered the building and opened the roof for crews inside. Fire spread from a well involved garage up all three floors and into the attic as well. With heavy fire conditions throughout a second alarm was requested. Crews made an aggressive interior attack and kept the bulk of the fire to addition of the home. All occupants safely evacuated the home.
