Lower Merion Fire Department was dispatched to multiple reports of a house fire in the area of Hickory Lane and Youngsford Place. FM34-3 arrived to a two story end of the group with smoke showing from the roof. Ladder 24 responded with 7 firefighters, secured its own water supply, and placed a line in service via a 35’ ladder. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire surrounding the chimney thanks to vigilant neighbors quickly notifying 911.
