Just before lunch time we were dispatched to the Expressway for an Accident with Injuries call along with our brothers and sisters from Belmont Hills Fire Company.
While enroute to that call, the Dispatch center notified us of a vehicle fire on Conshohocken State Road in the area of Hollow Road. Because were going to pass this location going to the first call, Ladder 24 was redirected to the car fire. Upon arrival, crews found a single vehicle accident with a vehicle on its side with heavy fire from the engine compartment area. THe crew blocked the entire roadway with the Ladder, deployed a hand line to extinguish the fire and evaluated the driver before EMS arrived. Engine 24-1 and Engine 26 Narberth Fire Company also responded. Engine 28Union Fire Association was dispatched to assist Rescue 22 on scene on the expressway since we stopped to handle the car fire.

While cleaning up from the car fire, Ladder 24 was dispatched to a building fire in Conshohocken which was quickly extinguished by first in units from Conshohocken. Upon returning back to Gladwyne we responded back to the expressway for a tree that fell on a vehicle injuring the 2 occupants. Finally a fire alarm was received for a house in Gladwyne.

Thank you to your GFC Firefighters who spent the day helping our community!
