Today, your Gladwyne firefighters responded to a reported house fire in the Merion section of the township. Engine 24 responded immediately after dispatch with 7 firefighters as a duty crew. Chief 313, who also serves as AC24 arrived to fire from the lower level of a split level home, prompting the LMFD Working Fire Dispatch (WFD). The WFD added Ladder and Air 24. E24 arrived as the second due engine, taking the assignment of stretching a 2nd hose line into the home, and forced entry to the rear. Simultaneously, the crew also searched the 2nd floor to locate any potential trapped occupants. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely.
