Gladwyne Firefighters gathered Wednesday night for a Forcible Entry drill taught by Bobby Eckert and his team of professional instructors. This class was all "hands on" and our firefighters were able to learn from the experienced teaching staff! We practiced forcing inward and outward facing doors and utilizing saws to cut locks, chains and rebar. Each member finished the night with a better level of knowledge, experience and comfort level utilizing forcible entry tools.

This class was sponsored by the Lower Merion Township Fire Department training committee which consists of the 7 companies within Lower Merion Township and Narberth Borough and the Township Fire Department office. The same class was offered on Monday night for those companies that hold their training night on Mondays.

This class was made up primarily of Penn Wynne and Gladwyne Firefighters as we train on Wednesday nights.

Thank you to Bobby Eckert and his well experienced staff for sharing their knowledge and experience with our team.

We look forward to our next class with Eckert Fire Tactics!
