Busy Night For Gladwyne Firefighters

Gladwyne firefighters handled seven emergencies this Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Gladwyne handled multiple gas emergencies both in Gladwyne and assists to Conshohocken. While returning from Conshohocken, Lower Merion received a reported vehicle rescue in the area of Mill Creek Rd. Lieutenant 313 confirmed one passenger unconsious and trapped in the vehicle. Ladder 24 immediately responded with 7 firefighters, and Engine 24 with 5. Crews from Belmont Hills Fire Company and Gladwyne Fire Company worked side by side to rapidly extricate the driver. Narberth Ambulance transported the male to the trauma center. Narberth Fire Company and Penn Wynne Fire Company - Station 21 assisted on scene as well. Early this morning, Gladwyne handled three more emergencies, assisted by Bryn Mawr Fire Company as well. Engine 24 and Rescue 22 arrived to I-76 to find a sedan sandwiched between two dump trucks with extreme intrusion into the passenger compartment. (3rd photo). Just prior to leaving the expressway, 24 was dispatched for a AFA, handled by Ladder 24 and Engine 23.
