What did you do for your community today?

Our firefighters have responded to 3 building fires in the last 48 hours.

We started the week off at 0230 hours on Monday morning assisting Bryn Mawr Fire Company with an attic fire in Villanova.

This morning, Ladder 24 responded with 6 firefighters to the large apartment building fire in Whitemarsh. The crew assisted for several hours and returned back to Gladwyne mid afternoon. We had extra crews standing by in Gladwyne while the ladder was in Whitemarsh.

Just after 1600 (4pm) Gladwyne firefighters were dispatched to assist Belmont Hills Fire Company at a house fire in Penn Valley. Engine 24 arrived and laid 600 feet of 5 inch up and icy driveway and deployed 3- 1 3/4 hand lines into the fire building.

We are thinking of those who lost there homes and properties and are thinking of you all.

Our firefighters are tired now and going to go to sleep......Should you need us.....we will be there to help you!

Great Job to all the firefighters In the region for a long cold day!
