Gladwyne Firefighters Assist Upper Merion Township - Technical Rescue

Gladwyne Fire Company was dispatched shortly after 3pm today with Ladder 24 and manpower to assist Upper Merion Township with a Technical Rescue. Crews encounters an excavator that rolled over and trapped the operator partially in a hole that was being dug. Ladder 24 responded with 7 firefighters and upon arrival assisted at the scene for several hours.

After the rescue was complete, Ladder 24 stood by on scene to assist with clean up and also to cover King of Prussia's Fire District while they continued to deal with the rescue scene. Ladder 24 was dispatched to the Neiman Marcus Store in the King of Prussia Mall for a Fire Alarm.

Ladder 24 returned to Gladwyne just before 7pm. While Ladder 24 was in Upper Merion there was additional Gladwyne Firefighters standing by in the station ready to handle any other emergencies that would be dispatched.
