Gladwyne Firefighters were dispatched to an unknown type fire in the area of Waverly Road and River Road in Gladwyne. Further information reported a fire at the "mulch pile" that runs adjacent to the expressway off of River Road. Upon arrival firefighters found a large "mulch" turning machine on fire. The equipment is used to turn over the mulch piles to prevent the mulch from catching on fire.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and return to service.
