| Tonight Gladwyne Fire Company obtained a house due for demolition to practice hands on training. Gladwyne firefighters conducted several scenarios throughout the evening. These scenarios were made more challenging and more real by filling the house up with smoke using our smoke machines. Some of the scenarios covered were Search and rescue, hose line advancement, searching for fire extension, and many other fire tactics. Obtaining these homes prior to demolition gives the firefighters a chance to practice their skills in a different environment other than the township burn tower that we go to monthly. |
