Today we received word that all of our hard work over the past couple of years has paid off. Gladwyne Fire Company is now the 1st Pennsylvania State Swift-Water Rescue Type 2A Team in Montgomery County (with only a handful in the whole region). This certification is awarded by the PA State Fire Commissioner and the PA State EMS Director. The certification affirms that we are equipped and trained to the standard set forth by the following agencies: (you can read the standards by reading the attached PDF Document).
