FAST Team Assist to Bryn Mawr House Fire

Firefighters responded Friday evening to a working house fire in the Bryn Mawr section of Radnor Township. First units on scene were met with heavy smoke, and reports of a victim trapped inside. Station 23 (Bryn Mawr) was able to make quick access to the home and retrieve a female victim from the residence. She was flown to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. Gladwyne members, working as the RIT team, assisted the ambulance crew in packaging the patient for transport, and placed ground ladders plus scene lighting at the fire-ground.

The fire was put under control following an hour of work, all units cleared the scene by 2200 hours.
