| In the early morning hours as most people were sleeping your Gladwyne Volunteer Firefighters were woken up to respond to Upper Merion Township to assist at a house fire. Engine 24 was dispatched to serve as the RIC Team (Rapid Intervention Crew) for Swedeland Fire Company in the 100 block of East Matsonsford Road (Across from the Calvary Cemetery). Upon arrival of Engine 24 the RIC team assisted with throwing ladders and outside ventilation in the early stages of the fire and once the fire was under control, the crews assisted with various duties around the fire scene. All of the various Mutual Aid companies worked well together and the fire was quickly extinguished. |
