The Lower Merion Pre-Alert was sounded just before 0730 today for a house fire in Ardmore on Spring Avenue. Station 25 and 23 was dispatched. Upon arrival of Lower Merion Police reporting smoke coming from the second floor of a twin house, the working fire dispatch was sent, bringing Engine 21 as the extra engine, Engine 24 (FAST), and Air 24. Upon arrival of the Gladwyne units, the small fire was extinguished by Ardmore and Bryn Mawr. Air 24 filled several air cylinders and all Gladwyne units cleared the scene in less than 45 minutes.
