Penn Wynne and Gladwyne firefighters conducted the final class of ice rescue training today at the Philadelphia Country Club in Gladwyne. The training, provided by S.T.A.R.T. Resuce Training, included scenarios involving skill sets of self-rescue, contact rescue, and ice sled rescue. At the conclusion of the 16-hour course, ten Gladwyne firefighters completed Ice Rescue Awareness Training and three Gladwyne firefighters are certified Ice Rescue Technicians.
