Gladwyne Assists Berwyn Fire Company At A Multi Alarm Apartment Fire

Gladwyne's tones were activated this morning at 0940 hrs for Ladder 24 to assist Chester County Station 2 (Berwyn) for a 2nd alarm Apartment Building Fire. Ladder 24 responded with 6 firefighters and headed to Berwyn. Upon arrival command ordered Ladder 24 to the roof to start opening the roof. After some minor truck relocations Ladder 24 was placed in between 2 buildings on the sidewalk entering the courtyard (back side of the building). The rest of Station 24 was then dispatched to assist at the fire. Crews assisted with interior firefighting, opening up the roof and alot of overhaul. Air 24 filled 42 air cylinders from the various assist companies as well. Gladwyne crews cleared Berwyn just after 1300 hours (1pm) and were then dispatched to Ardmore for a working house fire with entrapment
