Career Plans

Upon completion of my undergrad at La Salle University, I hope to pursue a career in Law Enforcement. I enjoy the complexity of the law enforcement field and the constant contact with the public. Serving the public allows me to interact with all walks of life and dissect problems plaguing society.

Why did you join the fire department?

Growing up in Lower Merion I was always attracted to the volunteer services our community provides. When I moved to Gladwyne, I felt that the Fire Company was an epicenter of sorts of the small village. Centrally located, the firehouse is a major artery of growing up in Gladwyne. From the Halloween Haunted House to the Memorial Day parade, even purchasing your Christmas tree here – the Company reaches all parts of our village.

What are your hobbies and/or interests outside of the fire department?

I am human. I enjoy being. I also love a long run down Lancaster Avenue and spending time with my friends and family. When available, I spend countless hours scouting and assisting with Lower Merion High School’s highly successful men’s basketball program.

What do you like best about being part of the fire department?

The fire service is an extremely unique sub-culture. Most don’t understand the dynamic of firefighter’s, and it’s even harder to explain when asked. Here in Gladwyne, we have an unbelievably passionate, progressive and talented group of firefighters. There’s an overwhelming sense of fraternity and togetherness when training, fighting or spending time around the station.
