Gladwyne Firefighters started the evening at a little after 4pm when we responded to 3 fire alarms a large electrical fire at Righters Mill Road and Black Rock Road. Firefighters were busy handling call up until 7:30 pm, just in time to start our training drill. Tonights drill was focused on Water rescue. 14 Gladwyne Firefighters trained in the water below the Flat Rock Dam on various rescue scenarios. In addition to those in the water, we had 5 more firefighters that are shore based rescuers assisting from the shoreline.

We are grateful and proud of our Volunteers and Career staff that spent 6 hours responding to calls, training and cleaning up this evening.
